: Just what we need, another 300hp+ car wearing a Nissan badge that costs way too much for this economy and fades out after a few years. =) : You do realize how much money Chevrolet is making with the : demand for C5s right? : The economy isn't bad...the slew of new M3s, Boxsters, Z06s, : AudiTTs, monster Jags and so forth rolling around Austin : seem to indicate that the economy is still good enough for : people to happily drop a good chunk of money on nice cars. Based on my exact statement, you're right. We DO have a lot of expensive cars and such coming out...the economy isn't "bad" per se. It's just that from the Nissan standpoint it doesn't fit their business plan. If they do anything it will be a GTR Infiniti with 400+hp and/or a souped up (forced induction or otherwise) later model 350Z. Even in a good economy another car exactly like the Z32 wouldn't last too long at the 45K they got up to in 95 or so. You're talking about Audi, Porsche, BMW and the long-popular and conveted (to some) Corvette in those price ranges...those are some big names! While I love Nissan to death, it's a NISSAN and that's what the average consumer would say to a $45K car. Am I really that wrong here? :( I wish they would do it...but I can see why they don't. They'll tread lightly with the 350Z, see where it goes and move on from there. Who knows what we'll see in 2005.
